The Olympics is the oldest and biggest sports spectacle in the world, dating back to ancient Greece, but it has been far from equal in terms of gender. The first year that women were allowed to participate in the competition was 1912 in swimming and it would take another 108 years for us to reach the 50/50 Goal.

The statues are celebrating female Olympic athletes that are breaking the mold. They will be placed in Tokyo 2020 during the Olympics.
